Love to Share Foundation America partnered with Global Organization for Divinity to present its first Global Heritage Camp: ‘We Are The World’ to the Minnetonka School district based in the greater Minneapolis area. The camp was conducted over a two day period kicking off with a Mystic Mantra session where exquisite ethnic puppets flocked together to share the art of mantra chanting to the children. Being the first time that these children were exposed to Indian Heritage, they were taught about the rich cultural heritage of India through arts (such as henna art), culinary art (such as mango lassi making), folk dance (bommalattam and kummi) and games (cricket). About 35 kids attended the camp and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Love to Share MN Chapter thanked Christy Wandrei of Yoga on the Rock and Pavithra and Vinod of MN GOD Satsang who stepped in to volunteer without which the camp would have been such a great success.
This camp will be offered at the district on a periodic basis going forward.
