Gopashtami was celebrated at Sri Mayakoothanji and Srimathi Jayathiji’s house on November 20th, 2010. On the day of Gopashtami innocent young Krishna helped Gopas and Gopis of Vrindavan, and so this special Gopashtami satsang was conducted by our young Gopas and Gopis.
The satsang started around 3pm with kids leading the Mahamantra chanting. Then it was followed with Bishma stuti, Druva stuti and Kunti stuti. All the young Gopas and Gopis then enacted the very whole play of Govardhana lila. Since it was the month of karthigai, an young adult satsangi talked about Sudhama charitram. After that all the Gopas and Gopis did kolattam and sang songs. The satsang ended with Mahamantra, Kaliyayum bali kollum and Aarthy, followed by prasadam. Nearly 35 devotees were blessed to take part in the satsang.
